Tahoe Day 2

Today I spent the day in, on, and around Emerald bay. I took a long hike in the morning where I found gigantic trees, beautiful views of the lake, and this old house a woman had built for her over 100 years ago right on the shore of the lake. It is now a part of the state park.

I finished the afternoon with a kayak around the bay. It took a little over an hour, and was filled with amazing colors, fish and boats. There was even one that had sunk to the bottom of the bay. It was a little disarming to be able to see that far down into the depths. This is an incredible place. The traffic is pretty brutal, but there is no shortage of incredible views and outdoor adventure.
